Paul Allen is an accomplished
trumpeter and saxophonist. He has been performing for fifty years. He
ran his own band, The Fortunes, for many years and has played for
clubs, churches, and private occasions. He has done work in many major
cities, including Chicago, Gary, Tampa, Little Rock, Richmond, and
Nashville where he performed at the Embers Gourmet Room in Printer's Alley with major artists such
as Roy Hamilton and Faron Young.
Over the years, Paul worked with The Falcons, The
Pacers and other well known bands. He has done many recording sessions
and played for many organizations.
Today,
Paul
enjoys playing for dances and entertaining seniors who enjoy the music
that he loves. He has been doing this for around fifteen years. He
spent five years in the Tampa Bay area dong shows for seniors all over
cental Florida.
Paul's music career started when rock n' roll was
just being recognized. Some of his major influences are Louis
Armstrong, Sil Austin, Clifford Scott, Boots Randolph, Billy Vaughn, Ace Cannon, and Elvis.
